A course in experimental fashion illustration and garment sketching.

Ever wanted to learn how to illustrate fashion and draw your own clothes? Here is a tip for all you fashion creatives out there!

By finding your personal expression in fashion illustration, it gives you the foundation to work as a creative in fashion and beauty design, PR, advertising and media. Illustration can be applied as a tool across various platforms in the creative industries and developing your drawing skills with new technologies, artisanal techniques and exploring visual communication skills, your illustrative stance becomes cultivated and nourished.

The 1st and 2nd of April, Madeleine Lithvall, fashion illustrator & creative director at the fashion, lifestyle and beauty agency M Lithvall will hold a course in fashion illustration & garment sketching at Happen in Södermalm.

During day 1, the participants will experiment with drawing techniques to capture materials, movement, sensation and still life. You get the chance to sketch both a live model and fashion stills. The course will give you the tools to further develop your illustrative skills and find your own personal expression. This course is for you who have an interest in clothes, work in fashion, or want to explore and develop your skills in illustration.

During day 2, the participants will receive a full on crash course in creating garment sketches from scratch. You’ll learn to translate basic garment production into your own fashion. The course will commence by checking how a garment is constructed, and you’ll learn how to draw a technical sketch of the piece by hand. This is a course for you if you want to become a designer, work in fashion, or just have an interest in clothes.

And the best part? If you are a student, you’ll get 2 for 1 so that you can bring a friend to the course without any extra costs!

You can either book a spot for Saturday, Sunday or both days.
